We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you! The Institute is proud to announce a new partnership with Little Mountain Sportsplex to remodel a dedicated indoor baseball training facility.
This collaboration will give players access to a state-of-the-art training environment, featuring turf flooring, retractable batting cages, and open field space designed for player development. Our goal is to provide athletes with the best possible opportunities to train, grow, and compete year-round.
With this new facility, we will be launching a variety of specialized programs, including:
⚾ Strength & Conditioning for Baseball – building explosive power, speed, and endurance.
⚾ Catcher’s Academy – weekly sessions focused on elite catching development.
⚾ Weekend Skills Program – hitting, pitching, and defensive training combined.
⚾ High-Performance Training – 3x per week for players ready to take the next step.
⚾ Private One-on-One Training – personalized hitting and pitching instruction.
This partnership ensures that players of all ages and skill levels will have access to top-tier coaching and facilities that will help them reach their full potential.
We are excited to welcome families into this new chapter for Manitoba baseball and can’t wait to see the impact this facility will have on player development.

Helped Facilitate Baseball Camp in Conjunction with the Chicxulub Food Bank
With a decade of experience coaching with RRVB, he has successfully guided multiple teams to winning seasons as the head coach. His expertise is in player development, particularly in enhancing hitting and defensive skills. Derek has been awarded the 2024 Baseball Manitoba Grassroots Coach of the Year award for his excellent coaching style, as well as winning back to back AA city championships.
